Dr. Don Wilson

Senior Minister


Don Wilson is Senior Minister of First Christian Church in Arlington TX.  He has served as Interim Senior Minister of First Christian Church in McKinney TX, and as Senior Minister of First Christian Church of Abilene, TX, Fairview Christian Church of Lynchburg, VA, First Christian Church of Athens, TX and as Associate Minister of Highlands Christian Church in Dallas. Don holds a Bachelor's degree from Texas Christian University, a Master of Divinity degree from Brite Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. He has been an ordained minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for 34 years.

Don has been married to Carol Joy Wilson for 36 years. They have two sons, a daughter and a daughter-in-law. As a Freshman at TCU, Don wrote the "Go! Go Frogs!" drum cadence cheer that TCU continues to use to this day at all their ball games. Don has a deep love and appreciation for classic Christian art and architecture. In 2013, Don and Carol celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with a 2-week, 2-person tour of Italy via Eurail and lots and lots of walking. Don loves serving God through serving and leading in the church, and is humbled and excited to serve Christ alongside the active congregation of First Christian Church, Arlington Texas.

Rev. Bill Jeffreys

Associate Minister


Bill Jeffreys joined the First Christian Church staff in January of 2010 as Associate Minister. Bill served in youth ministry positions at Ridglea Christian Church in Fort Worth and in the area office before joining the FCC Staff. He has been and continues to be very active in the camping program leadership. Bill also has a background in hospitality management. Bill is a graduate of Texas A&M University (B.A. Sociology, minor in Religious Studies), Brite Divinity School at TCU (M. Div.), and Texas Wesleyan (MSMFT). He was ordained in August of 2009. Bill is married and has four children.  He is passionate about many areas of the church from youth & young adult ministry to congregational care to administrative pieces around FCC, but one of his favorite things the church does is youth mission trips.

Dana Lobaugh

Minister of Music & Worship


A fourth generation Disciple of Christ and a 40-year veteran of church music leadership, Dana has served as full-time Minister of Music for First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Arlington since 2008.  Prior to 2008, Dana served as Associate Music Director at University Christian Church in Fort Worth, Music Director at First Christian Church in Amarillo, Northway Christian Church in Dallas, Trinity Presbyterian Church in Flower Mound,  The Church in the Wildwood in Green Mountain Falls, Colorado, and First Presbyterian Church of Enid, Oklahoma.   Dana holds bachelor’s degrees in Voice Performance and Vocal Music Education from Phillips University in Enid, OK and has completed extensive doctoral studies in conducting and musicology, while serving as director of the Women's Chorus at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. 

Dana has been married to Rev. Dr. Alan Lobaugh for 35 years.  (Alan serves as Senior Minister of Azle Christian Church.) They have three grown children, one daughter-in-law, and will add another daughter-in-law at the end of 2019!  They're all crazy about books, games, travel, and God's beautiful outdoors.

Carol Wilson

Assistant Minister


Carol earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in education from TCU to which she was recruited on a band scholarship at age 17.  After several years in public schools, she served on the music ministry staffs at FCC Athens and FCC Abilene.  She created and led Athens' Thanksgiving community-wide service and organized church family music mission trips to DOC churches, including two at FCC Arlington.
